Historic Districts
The Borough of Sewickley has three Historic Districts. All exterior work in Historic Districs must be reviewed by the Historic Review Commission. A Certificate of Appropriateness must be recommended by the Historic Review Commission and approved by Borough Council prior to the issuance of a Building Permit.

Stormwater Management
All permit applications requiring Stormwater Management Plans must be reviewed and approved by the Borough Engineer prior to the issuance of a Building Permit.
Land Development
All permit applications requiring Land Development must be reviewed and approved by the Borough Engineer, Planning Commission, and Borough Council prior to the issuance of a Building Permit.
