The Real Estate tax is the amount levied on each individual property in the Borough of Sewickley. The tax is calculated based upon the assessed value, as determined by the Allegheny County Property Assessment, Appeal, Review and Registry, times the millage rate, which is established by Borough Council. The tax millage rate is 6.25 mills.
Dates & Penalties
Real Estate tax bills will be mailed March 1, with a 2% discount available until April 30. Real Estate taxes will be at face value from May 1st through June 30th. Beginning July 1, Real Estate taxes will carry a 10% penalty.

CDC mitigation measures will be observed. Weather permitting, the collection site will be outdoors in front of the Municipal Building. If the weather is not conducive to outdoor activity, collections will take place in the lobby on the first floor of the Municipal Building. Face masks are required both inside and outside the building. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes will be available. We ask that you social distance and do not congregate in or around the building. Only one transaction will be handled at a time.
