The risk of crime and the fear of being victimized is always a concern in any community.  In order to expand our resources and educate our residents, the Sewickley Police have partnered with "ACCAPT" Allegheny County Communities and Police Together.

ACCAPT is an organization dedicated to crime prevention education and community oriented policing.  The ACCAPT family is a group of officers from departments across the county who work together, often volunteering, to provide services and programs to communities and individuals.  By partnering with ACCAPT, our residents now have the opportunity to participate in some of the following programs:

Educational Programs

Our goal is to educate the public about measures they can take to increase personal, school, business and neighborhood safety.

• Adolescent and Teen Safety
• Adult and Business Safety
• Child Safety
• Driver, Passenger and Pedestrian Safety
• Senior Safety
• Threat Awareness:  Crime Prevention, Home and Business Security, Personal Safety and Threat Assessment

Community event programs increase the public's awareness of the crime assessment and prevention process.
